TEANECK, NJ-Only 49% of New Jersey's registered voters believe the state is headed in the right direction, according to a Fairleigh Dickinson University Public Mind poll released today.
The latest survey saw a major drop in voter confidence from a poll in June when 57% of voters polled felt the state was headed in the right direction. In January, 61% of poll respondents thought favorably of the state's direction.
“Garden State voters seem to be saying that the governor bears a good amount of responsibility for the state's health, but the same credit or blame for their personal well-being is unrelated to Christie's stewardship,” says Krista Jenkins, a political science professor and director of the FDU poll.
