SILVER SPRING, MD-Contractors for the repair of the Silver Spring Transit Center here say that the project will likely take until the summer of 2014 at the earliest to complete.

While Montgomery County Director of General Services David Dise is hopeful that the center could be operational by the end of this year, Bryant Foulger of the Foulger Pratt Company in a letter to Dise termed the time estimates made about some repairs "completely disingenuous" and suggested the summer of 2014 may be an optimistic estimate for completion of the project, according to wtop.com.

Dise called the contractor's letter a position statement. "It's a reservation of right and a prelude to future negotiations for either claim or dispute." See story at wtop.com.
