BALTIMORE-Beatty Development Group, the developer of the proposed Harbor Point project, agreed on Wednesday evening to hold another public meeting on safety issues concerning the redevelopment of a former chemical plant site here.

Approximately 50 people and a class of University of Maryland social-work students, attended a three-hour session Wednesday evening at the Morgan Stanley building on Thames Street, where representatives of Beatty and federal and state environmental officials were on hand.

However, some attendees left the session unconvinced that all safety issues are being addressed, according to the Baltimore Sun. Beatty Development Group has secured preliminary approval to build a 22-story office building for Exelon Corp. on the 27-acre site. See story in the Baltimore Sun.
