ROSELAND, NJ-Although the state continues to struggle with an unemployment rate above 8%, payroll firm ADP released a report on Wednesday that stated the Garden State added 4,770 private sector jobs during the month of August.
Professional and businesses services added 1,200 jobs, while trade, transportation and utilities added 550 new positions. The report authored by the Roseland-based company stated that the manufacturing sector lost 400 jobs last month, according to The Record.
The state gained 5,090 private service jobs and lost 320 jobs in the goods-producing sector. ADP says the New Jersey's job market "remains sub-par." See story in The Record.
