TRENTON, NJ-New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reportedly poised to announce his endorsement of the $1-billion project to extend PATH service to Newark Liberty International Airport.

The report in Crain's New York Business, states that several sources familiar with the governor's plan indicate that the governor was to announce his support for the project today but canceled plans late on Wednesday.

The governor's support for the project would likely guarantee the extension project be included in the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's $30-billion capital plan, which is expected to be released later this year. See story in Crain's New York Business.
