IRVINE, CA-HFF has hired the investment-sales team of Brett Tremaine and Ryan Martin to join its locally based Orange County office and Anthony J. Brent to join the firm's Los Angeles office. The team will focus on industrial capital-markets transactions primarily in the western US.
The new hires have an average of 20 years of experience across brokerage, advisory and operations. Most recently, they were founders of BlackRidge Real Estate Group. Previously, they held positions at Cushman & Wakefield, Lee & Associates, Panattoni Development Co. LLC and Majestic Realty Co.
Tremaine, who will serve as a senior managing director, has more than 26 years of experience spanning from a top intermediary to national development roles throughout North America. He specializes in investment sales, land-development transactions and equity placement throughout the primary markets of the western US.
Martin joins HFF as a managing director with more than 16 years of development, investment and brokerage-advisory experience. He has invested, developed, represented and managed more than 12 million square feet of real estate transactions throughout the US.
In addition, Tom Simmons joins the firm's Orange County office from BlackRidge as an associate director/analyst for the group with more than 11 years of experience in transaction and asset management, along with financial and investment analysis. He has managed various platforms of capital over multiple acquisition and development opportunities both during his time with BlackRidge and with other private operators.
Brent joins HFF's L.A. office as a senior managing director after more than 25 years of advisory experience in Southern California and industrial properties. He was one of the initial shareholders of Lee & Associates' San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles offices, where he was recognized for successfully transacting large building and land transactions throughout the Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley and Inland Empire markets in excess of $2 billion.
“HFF continues to strategically grow its West Coast investment-sales team with a goal of purposefully building out the full platform of services and property specializations in each location,” says Kevin Mackenzie, senior managing director and co-head of the firm's Orange County and Los Angeles offices.
As GlobeSt.com reported earlier this week, HFF's investment sales team of Ryan Gallagher, managing director Mike McCann, director Tim Geiman and associate directors Derreck Barker and Nick Foster represented Prudential Real Estate Investors in the sale of Mission Ridge, a two-building, class-A office campus in Mission Viejo totaling 231,065-square-feet, to Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers for an amount undisclosed to GlobeSt.com.
