TAMPA, FL—Chief officials from the city of Tampa joined Related Group on Thursday to open its new 356-unit Pierhouse apartment development in downtown Tampa.
Among those on hand at the event for the new project at 1226 E. Cumberland Ave. included Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Related CEO Jorge Perez.
The development is the first in Tampa for the Miami-based developer, but likely not its last, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The new development, which also includes approximately 4,800 square feet of retail space, is currently 40% leased.
On Thursday, Related Group executives were reportedly looking over downtown sites, as well as a property on W. Spruce Street and N. Hubert Avenue in Westshore. See story in the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
