BALTIMORE, MD-Eight separate retail leases that totaled 90,000 square feet have brought two local retail centers to full occupancy. The leases were brokered by KLNB Retail on behalf of The Fedder Co. The two retail centers are the 215,000-square foot Chesapeake Square and One Mile West. The transactions were handled by Michael Patz, Patrick A.M. Miller and Ryan Minnehan.
Five leases, representing approximately 15,000 square feet of space were signed at Chesapeake Square Shopping Center, which is located at 6710-6724 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie and anchored by a Shop-Rite and Best Buy. The new tenants are Destination XL, Noodles & Co., Pho 98, Wing Stop and Yama Sushi.
Three leases, totaling approximately 70,000 square feet of space were signed at One Mile West Shopping Center, a 125,000 square foot center located near Baltimore National Pike and the Baltimore Beltway interchange in Catonsville. These include Lotte Plaza, for 46,000 square feet, Goodwill Stores at 18,700 square feet and Sleepy's, for 4,800 square feet.
Patz points out that the DXL lease represents the third location in Maryland for the retailer. Lotte Plaza, for its part, is replacing Toys R Us at One Mile West and "injects a first-rate supermarket into the tenant mix," he says in a prepared statement.
Headquartered in Owings Mills, MD, The Fedder Co. currently manages 28 properties in Maryland and Pennsylvania totaling nearly two million square feet of space.
