WASHINGTON, DC-New York City-based Rockrose Development Corp. has acquired the more than 400,000-square-foot 2000 L St. NW office building here for $192 million from Brookfield Office Properties.
The deal, which calculated out to approximately $479 per square foot, closed on Monday, according to the Washington Business Journal. Rockrose President Justin Elghanayan says the firm is evaluating renovation plans for the eight-story property.
Rockrose is reportedly considering upgrading the lobby and improving the building's retail mix. "We know we're going to improve the building because it's sort of a B-plus asset in an A location," Elghanayan says. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
