Bozzuto acquired the portfolio about seven years ago from Stephen A. Goldberg Cos. for approximately $98 million, according to the Washington Business Journal.
The portfolio of approximately 1,200 apartment units is located in Suitland and Temple Hills. The communities on the market for sale either individually or as a portfolio include: Forest Village, Shadyside Gardens, Marlow Heights, Marlow Tower and Marlow Gardens.
Transwestern Executive Vice President Robin Williams states the properties were acquired in bulk back in 2006 and have undergone approximately $12.5 million in renovations since the purchase. Offers are due by the end of October. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
