WESTBOROUGH, MA-Audio products giant Bose Corp. has renewed a full-building office lease of 250,813 square feet at 9 Technology Drive here. Lease terms were not disclosed.
A Cushman & Wakefield team of J.R. McDonald, Michael Frisoli, Stephen Woelfel and Rich Ruggiero represented the landlord, Wells REIT II – 9 Technology Drive LLC. Bose was represented by McCall & Almy in lease negotiations.
“We are delighted that Bose decided to remain at 9 Technology Drive,” McDonald says. He calls the deal “a major win for both parties. By renewing in place early, Bose was able to leverage prior investments in building improvements while achieving its desire to operate as a sole tenant. Its decision to stay is a reflection of the quality and location of the property and ownership is thrilled to have negotiated a comprehensive real estate solution for Bose, a world leader in technology.”
Known for products such as noise-canceling headphones and home theater systems, Bose was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in nearby Framingham, MA. Its founder, Dr. Amar Bose, died this past July at age 83.
9 Technology Drive is a two-story property within the Westborough Technology Park. It's known for a dramatic two-story glass atrium, and is readily accessible to a variety of area amenities.
