MIAMI-The Baru Urbano restaurant site in the Brickell section of the city has traded for $21 million.

Real estate developer Ugo Colombo acquired the property at 1001 S. Miami Ave. from Brickell Flatiron LLC, which is managed by Mallory Kauderer. A published report in the Daily Business Review states that Colombo's firm secured a $12.6-million mortgage from Sun Trust Bank to help finance the deal.

The former owners had hoped to build a high-rise that would have included 300 condominium units and retail at the site. See story in the South Florida Business Journal.
