HACKENSACK, NJ-Superior Court Judge Rachelle Harz at a hearing on Tuesday ordered Consolidated Dairies to vacate its Main Avenue warehouse in Wallington within 48 hours and vacate its offices within 20 days.
Both the warehouse and offices are owned by Farmland Dairies. The judge's decision came a day after Consolidated filed suit against Farmland Dairies, its landlord and supplier, charging that the firm sought to damage Consolidated's business, according to The Record.
Consolidated Dairies halted operations last week and laid off its 138 employees. Farmland sent an eviction letter to Consolidated last Friday stating that the firm had three days to leave its properties. See story in The Record.
