HOUSTON-A Diane von Furstenberg boutique is among the retailers lining up to become tenants at River Oaks District development. Construction will begin next summer.

Media reports indicate that the designer's company will open a boutique at the mixed-use development. The building, which will include retail, restaurants and residential, is expected to open in 2015.

Plans call for a 650,000-square-foot River Oaks to include 252,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, cafes and an eight-screen theater cinema. There should also be 92,000 square feet of boutique office space; and 279 residential units, says the Houston Business Journal.

The project team is lead by San Diego-based developer OliverMcMillan, and will include architecture firm Gensler in Houston, Chicago-based architecture firm Pappageorge Haymes Partners and Chicago-based Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects.
