NEW YORK CITY-The Brooklyn Flea has signed a lease deal for the entire second floor of 185 Wythe Ave. in Brooklyn.

The food and shopping flea market will occupy 47,000 square feet in what leasing agent TerraCRG calls Williamsburg's largest retail block of space. The new space will serve as the winter location for the Brooklyn Flea, which has its Williamsburg Flea operate at East River State Park through Nov. 24th, according to the Commercial Observer.

“We looked at the space with them last year, but the timing didn't work out,” says Geoff Bailey, director of retail services at TerraCRG. “This year we got them back in there and they wound up with a larger space.”

The Brooklyn Flea currently runs another warm weather market in Fort Greene at 176 Lafayette Ave. Last month, the Flea expanded to the Washington, DC market and in June opened a satellite in Philadelphia. See story in the Commercial Observer.
