SILVER SPRING, MD-Long & Foster Real Estate has acquired locally-based Cathy Gilmour Real Estate.
The deal marks the third acquisition for the Chantilly, VA-based real estate brokerage firm. No financial terms of the Gilmour acquisition were released, according to the Washington Business Journal. Cathy Gilmour Real Estate had operated independently in Montgomery County since 1965. The firm will now assume the Long & Foster brand.
"We're ready to take advantage of all that Long & Foster has to offer and are certain our home buyers and sellers will benefit greatly from the additional training, marketing and technology support we'll gain through Long & Foster,” said Kathleen Kane, broker/owner of Cathy Gilmour.
