NEW YORK CITY-Online auction firm 1stdibs has signed a lease for more than 42,000 square feet at Edward J. Minskoff Equities' new 51 Astor Place office building.
The firm that specialize in auctioning high-end goods inked a 15-year deal for the 400,000-square-foot building's entire third floor totaling 42,232 square feet, according to Crain's New York Business.
"They liked the building and realized that this is a state of the art property in one of the most vibrant areas of the city," said Edward Minskoff of the lease transaction.
Earlier this year, the building nearly landed Facebook as a tenant. Facebook instead opted to lease 160,000 square feet of space at 770 Broadway. See story in Crain's New York Business.
