HEALDSBURG, CA-The Kessler Collection, a Florida-based hotel company, is planning a 75-room luxury boutique hotel in downtown Healdsburg in Sanoma County.

At five stories, the hotel would be the tallest building in downtown Healdsburg, a town of less than 12,000 along the Russian River.

Plans were submitted to local officials in late September, according to a report in the local news media. Located a half-block south of the tourist-destination town plaza on the east side of Healdsburg Avenue, it would add more upscale lodging to the town.

The hotel would include an art gallery and cafe on the ground floor.
