PHILADELPIA-A crowdfunding campaign is now under way to raise a portion of the $3 million needed to rehabilitate a building that will offer retail, office and event space here.
The crowdfunding initiative allows individuals to invest as little as $100 in Shift Capital's project to rehabilitate 114 Green Lane in the Manayunk neighborhood of Philadelphia.
"It is a whole new generation of development," says Daniel Miller, co-founder of Washington-based Fundrise L.L.C., an online platform that is assisting Shift Capital in the crowdfunding campaign that has a goal of raising $500,000. The project will transform the 7,500-square-foot building into the home of the Transfer Station, which will offer retail office and event space for paying members. See story in The Inquirer.
