WASHINGTON, DC-The ownership of the Watergate office building has secured building permits for interior renovation work for incoming tenant the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which has leased 35,000 square feet of space there.
The permits are for interior work on 16,730 square feet of space on the 10th floor and 16,800 square feet on the 11th floor of the building at 2600 Virginia Ave. NW, according to the Washington Business Journal.
Trammel Crow Co. and the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust have obtained a raze permit for the five-story 400 Sixth St. SW building. The partners acquired the property in 2012 for approximately $42 million and plan to demolish the building and replace it with a 12-story office building.
