PHILADELPHIA-The Delaware River Waterfront Corp. and design firm Hargreaves Associates will unveil preliminary designs for the redevelopment of Penn's Landing on Tuesday.

The agency will hold a public hearing at the Festival Pier at 601 North Columbus Blvd. beginning at 7 p.m. The plan calls for a capping of a portion of I-95 and Delaware Avenue with a park.

The design is also expected to include renewed public spaces surrounding Penn's Landing Marina and a new bridge crossing Columbus Boulevard at South Street, according to Plan Philly.com.

The session will feature a number of Delaware River Waterfront Corp. and city officials, as well as Mary Margaret Jones, senior principal of Hargreaves Associates, who will lead a presentation on the preliminary design plans. See story at PlanPhilly.com.
