SADSBURY, PA-Lancaster General Health is opening a new $16-million outpatient care center as part of its expansion effort into Chester County.
The two-story, 39,000-square-foot building will provide primary and specialty care and outpatient services. It will also house an urgent care center that will be open seven days a week, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
“Residents who live here and in the surrounding communities have expressed a need for more health-care services that are close to where they live,” said Thomas E. Beeman, president and CEO of Lancaster General Health. “This health center is fulfilling that need.”
Among the services to be provided at the health center will be: outpatient lab testing; X-ray and MRI services; digital mammography; cardiac and pulmonary function testing; physical therapy; diabetes education; and home sleep studies. The center is opening with 45 employees. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
