RIDGEWOOD, NJ-The Planning Board plans to hold a public hearing in early December to detail a proposed master plan amendment that would allow high-density multifamily housing development in the downtown district.

A final review of a draft amendment to the master plan, which has been discussed for the past two years, is scheduled for Nov. 5. The Planning Board will then accept public comment on the proposal, beginning at its Dec. 5 meeting, according to The Record.

Four proposals for high-density multifamily developments are currently pending before the Planning Board. However, the master plan as currently written prohibits such use. See story in The Record.
