CHESTNUT RIDGE, NY-B&H Foto and Electronics Corp. is reportedly poised to relocate its warehouse and on-line commerce operations currently housed in the Brooklyn Navy Yard to a property here in Rockland County, NY.

Government officials in Rockland County say B&H plans to move the Navy Yard portion of the business, which employs about 300 people, to Chestnut Ridge, which is located near a Hasidic Jewish community.

B&H is one of the most prominent Hasidic-owned and -operated businesses in New York City, according to Crain's New York Business.

A company affiliated with B&H acquired a 158-acre plot in Chestnut Ridge for $9.3 million in December 2012, according to members of the Rockland Economic Development Corp. See story in Crain's New York Business.
