LANGHORNE, PA-St. Mary Medical Center has completed the final phase of its $22-million expansion of its emergency department and trauma center here.
The unit is named the “Bristol-Myers Squibb Pediatric Emergency Care Center at St. Mary Medical Center.” The Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation bestowed a $2-million grant in connection with the project, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Work on the emergency room expansion began in the summer of 2011. The Bucks County-based hospital engaged in a three-phased effort that included the construction of 11 private pediatric treatment rooms, a pediatric triage area, separate reception areas for potentially infectious and noninfectious conditions, and a specially equipped pediatric resuscitation room.
