BALTIMORE-The city's Urban Design and Architecture Review Panel granted approval on Thursday with comments on the 22-story apartment tower project at 1 Light St.

The development to be built by J. Joseph Clark will have to return to the panel to address comments the panel made with its approval. Gary Bowden, a member of the review panel, says he is concerned about the building's proposed screening on an attached parking that would makes cars less noticeable to the public, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

Another concern expressed by Bowden involves the building's integration with adjacent improvements to the Red Line. “The development will likely be complete before the Red Line connector,” he said. “My concern is that the building is new and exciting, but then what happens when the city comes in and starts digging into the property.” See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
