NEW YORK CITY-A plan to build a $1-billion hospital in East Flatbush, Brooklyn is being discussed by the Cuomo administration and Brooklyn heath care officials.

The new hospital would replace three existing hospitals-- University, Brookdale and Kingsbrook Jewish hospitals, according to Crain's New York Business.

Dr. Linda Brady, president of Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, said she has heard of the proposal, but has not received official word that it is in the offing . "Our mission is about providing health care to a community. If there is an exploration of a solution, we would be at the table and not flat out say no," she said.
