BOSTON-Industry veteran Steve Prozinski has joined Avison Young in Boston as a principal and director of property management services for the region. He will manage the company's 5.4 million square feet of properties in New England and the Mid-Atlantic, and oversee the daily operations of the region's growing property management division. Prozinski will also work with the local brokerage team on accounting and forecasting.
“Steve and his team will broaden Avison Young's depth and service delivery in New England,” says Rick Kimball, AY principal and managing director of the company's Boston office. “We have now grown our New England presence to 55 employees in less than three years. Based upon the arrival of Steve, we fully expect to grow our property management portfolio to top-three status among New England-based, third-party providers.”
Prozinski brings 24 years of experience to Avison Young in property management, accounting, corporate management and brokerage. He began as an accountant for local real estate firms, including Whittier Partners, in 1989. He became the controller of Meredith Grew in 1993 before moving in 1999 to the Codman Co., where he became President. In 2008, the principals of Codman sold to Newmark Knight Frank, now Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, where Prozinski served as managing principal of NGKF's Boston office until 2013.
“I joined Avison Young to have the ability to work with my colleagues as partners, and to be collaborative across services lines and assist in further growing this company,” Prozinski says. “Specifically to property management, I wanted the ability to grow our business and be able to properly service our longstanding clients with our local resources and expertise.”
