WASHINGTON, DC-Patton Boggs, a law firm based in the district that is versed in lobbying and public policy, is in merger discussions with a large Dallas-based law firm.
Two former Patton Boggs partners in a Reuters report stated that Patton Boggs, which employs approximately 500 attorneys and public-policy advisers, is in merger discussions with Locke Lord of Dallas, which has more than 650 lawyers and consultants, according to the Washington Post.
Patton Boggs said in a statement that all law firms that recognize the rapidly changing landscape should be looking for ways to improve their platform for their partners and to better serve their clients. “If we find a combination that accomplishes these goals, we would have an announcement if and when we pursue it,” the law firm stated.
Patton Boggs is headquartered at 2550 M St. NW in Washington DC and also has locations in Abu Dhabi, Anchorage, Dallas, Denver, Doha, Dubai, New Jersey, New York, and Riyadh. See story in the Washington Post.
