ROCKVILLE, MD-The Montgomery County Board of Education will review a plan on Nov. 7 that calls for $1.55 billion on school capital construction.
The plan, floated by Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Joshua Starr, is to address an estimated 11,000 new students expected to enroll in county schools in the next six years, according to wtop.com.
The school system has seen 14,000 new students over the past six years. The proposal calls for 14 new classroom addition projects, the construction of five new schools and school renovation projects over the next five years. See story at wtop.com.
