WASHINGTON, DC-Now that its high-profile $250-million sale to Amazon Inc. fonder Jeff Bezos has closed, the Washington Post is back in the market conducting a search for new headquarters space.
The Washington Post is looking for about 300,000 square feet of office space, although it is not expected to move in conjunction with its former owner, the Washington Post Co., according to the Washington Business Journal.
The headquarters search, which began earlier this year, was put in hold during the sales talks with Bezos. The search was restarted recently and the newspaper has begun touring potential sites, including a visit earlier this week to 1015 Half St. SE, owned by Prudential Real Estate Advisors.
