WASHINGTON, DC-Metro launched a search on Monday for interested developers who want to build on properties the transit agency owns at five stations in and around the district.
The properties that could be developed are at Metro's Brookland, Navy Yard, Fort Totten, Grosvenor-Strathmore and Morgan Boulevard stations, according to the Washington Post. Three of the stations included in the 135-age document Metro has prepared are in the district, the other two are in Montgomery and Prince George's counties.
The largest parcel that could be available for development totals 37 acres at the Morgan Boulevard station in Landover, MD. The state of Maryland and Prince George's County are planning a $645-million regional hospital campus nearby. See story in the Washington Post.
