NEW YORK CITY-The fledgling Al Jazeera news network is looking to lease as much as 200,000 square feet of office space at Boston Properties' 250 W. 55th St. office tower here.
The Doha, Qatar-based news organization is in negotiations with Boston Properties to establish its Manhattan headquarters at the 38-story property, according to Crain's New York Business.
Al Jazeera would house a portion of its newsroom on the 50,000-square-foot second floor. Boston Properties is also in lease talks with Soros Fund Management for as much as 75,000 square feet of space in the penthouse of the 1-million-square-foot building. See story in Crain's New York Business.
