REDWOOD CITY, CA-Construction began last week on Crossing 900, the largest office project in the city's downtown.
The two-building, 300,000-square-foot development is a joint effort between Los Angeles-based Kilroy Realty Corporation and Hunter/Storm of Cupertino. According to the Silicon Valley Business Journal, the partners paid $17 million for the former parking lot on 2.3 acres.
The Journal says construction began before Friday's official groundbreaking, and is expected to be completed in 23 months. The site is adjacent to a Caltrain stop and a SamTrans transit center, two amenities that allow for a transit spin on the property.
