NEW YORK CITY-Law firm Jones Day has inked a long-term lease for 330,000 square feet of space at Brookfield Office Properties' 4 Brookfield Place office tower downtown.
The 20-year lease was signed on Saturday, according to the New York Post. The law firm will occupy floors 27 through 34 at the 1.8-million-square-foot, 34-story office tower.
“We are glad that Jones Day recognized the new aesthetics along with the dining, shopping and transit options coming to Brookfield Place that will make it as attractive to its employees as their new offices,” said Dennis Friedrich, chief executive officer of Brookfield Office Properties. Brookfield is in the midst of major lobby renovation and retail and common area repositioning of the entire 8-mllion-square foot Brookfield Place project that is reportedly valued at $250 million.
Mitchell Steir, Matt Barlow and David Goldstein of Studley represented Jones Day in the transaction. Jerry Larkin and David Cheiken worked on the deal in-house for the property owner. See story in the New York Post.
