MIAMI—Blanca Commercial Real estate has named Maura Kohl as its new director of Finance and Operations. Kohl brings more than 20 years of experience in the areas of finance, asset management and disposition and market research to Blanca's firm. She also brings deep relationships with institutional investors and REITs, private equity funds, major end-users and public sector organizations.
“With more than two decades managing complex matters at some of the nation's top real estate firms, Maura's addition will create an immediate benefit for our existing team members and our clients,” says Tere Blanca, president and CEO of Blanca. “Our firm has always prided itself on providing experienced counsel at every step of the transaction and advisory process. Adding Maura into the mix broadens our capabilities and further expands our market intelligence.”
In her new role, Kohl will oversee Blanca's accounting and operational functions while also spearheading research, lease analysis, acquisition analysis, and providing due diligence support on behalf of clients. Kohl previously held positions at Lynd Asset Management, Jones Lang LaSalle, Related Group, Vornado Realty Trust, Time Warner Inc., and Forest City Ratner.
Kohl's addition continues a steady year of growth for Blanca Commercial Real Estate. In recent months, the firm has announced the addition of senior vice president Luciana Carvalho, executive vice president Juan Ruiz, and executive vice president Alison Pages. Kohl earned an MBA in Finance from Fordham University and a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Tufts University.
