PHILADELPHIA-SMG, the soon-to-be facilities manager for the Philadelphia Convention Center, has selected Lorenz Hassenstein as operations chief of the facility.
Hassenstein most recently served as vice president at Advertising Specialties Institute, a Trevose, PA-based firm that runs trade shows, according to the Inquirer. The Philadelphia Business Journal reports that previously Hassenstein headed Vornado Realty Trust's Piers 92/94 in New York City.
Hassenstein will manage approximately 100 convention center workers once SMG officially takes over the state-financed center on Dec. 1. See story in The Inquirer.
