NEW YORK CITY-Social media giant Twitter, fresh off its successful IPO, is in negotiations to lease as much as 100,000 square feet of office space at 51 Astor Place.

Twitter is reportedly set to sign a long-term lese for the space at rents in the $90s per square foot with building owner Edward Minskoff, according to Crain's New York Business.

Last month, 1stdibs, an online auctioneer signed a lease for approximately 42,000 square feet at the building. IBM and Cisco are rumored to be looking at the property. See story in Crain's New York Business.
