LOS ANGELES-Real estate veteran Sam Alison has joined Stan Johnson as the firm's West Coast regional director, GlobeSt.com reports in this exclusive story. Alison will oversee single-tenant net lease investment sales on the West Coast and the firm's offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix.

“Stan Johnson's specialty and single focus is on single-tenant net lease properties,” Alison tells GlobeSt.com. “Net lease was part of the business where I thought there was opportunity. It is a desirable product and it was underserved, and I saw some running room there. This was a really good fit for what I wanted to do in my own career, and then to be able to go with one of the strongest players in the market was very exciting.”

Formerly an SVP with CBRE, Alison has completed more than 15 million square feet in real estate transactions valued at $3 billion. In his 30-year career specializing in investment sales and acquisitions, he has worked with Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Company, Trammell Crow Company and Exxon Corporation

In his new position as West Coast regional director, Alison will continue to have the opportunity to execute deals while working to expand the firm's West Coast presence and recruiting new brokers. “I like structuring and executing deals,” says Alison. “I like celebrating when they are over and then moving on to the next one.” The ability to continue working on deals while overseeing the region made the position particularly attractive to him.

Alison was also attracted to Stan Johnson's superior track record and in helping the company continue to grow. This year the firm's Western Region will close about 20% more deals than last year. Next year, it is aiming even higher, anticipating a production and revenue increase of 50%. Alison will focus on Southern California and Pacific Northwest markets, which he believes have the greatest room for growth.

In other employment news, Lee & Associates has named Jeff Rinkov as president and chairman of the board. Rinkov took the position after Ed Indvik resigned. Indvik, however, will remain with the company as a broker and vice chairman of the investment services group.
