ATLANTIC CITY-Seven years after it closed its doors, the historic Madison House hotel property here has been sold.
A settlement notice posted on the Atlantic County Clerk's Office's website states that an agreement of sale has been reached and the buyer of the property is Shri Sai Plainfield LLC, according to the Press of Atlantic City. No terms of the transaction were available.
Atlantic County Clerk Edward McGettigan says a settlement notice usually is filed as a prelude to the final sale documents. A deed has not yet been filed in connection with the transaction, he adds.
The Madison House Group, headed by Florida investor George Levin, has owned the 14-story hotel building for years. See story in the Press of Atlantic City.
