CHARLOTTE-Locally-based real estate firm Lincoln Harris is in contract to acquire property on the eastern half of the former Maersk parcel in SouthPark here for a major new office project.
The company plans to build two, 10-story 240,000-square-foot office buildings on approximately six acres at the intersection of Congress Street and Carnegie Boulevard. Lincoln Harris is partnering with an institutional investor to purchase the property and hopes to start construction by June 2014, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
Johnny Harris, CEO of Lincoln Harris, says, “We've got people busting at the seams in SouthPark and having to move out of SouthPark because there's no big spaces. We think the market's strong enough now.” See story in the Charlotte Business Journal.
