JACKSONVILLE, FL-A foreclosure action was filed last Wednesday by the city of Jacksonville on the Bostwick Building here.
The city filed for foreclosure of a municipal code enforcement lien, according to the Jacksonville Business Journal. The Bostwick Building at 101 E. Bay St., is known locally s the “Jaguar Building” for the murals painted on its boarded-up windows.
The owners of the property requested the city grant a demolition permit for the property. However, the historic preservation committee and last week the City Council both denied the request. See story in the Jacksonville Business Journal.
