OWINGS MILLS, MD-The controversial Foundry Row retail development here has secured a key court victory as Baltimore County Circuit Court Judge Jan Alexander has rejected a 2012 referendum challenge to the zoning decision critical to the project's development.
Judge Alexander ruled the referendum petitions were deficient. The county's Board of Elections back in February 2013 had also determined the petitions were deficient, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corp. CEO Brian J. Gibbons, the developer of the Wegman's-anchored Foundry Row, said the 350,000-square-foot shopping center remains "on schedule and moving full steam ahead." The project is being built at the site of a former Solo Cup factory. Demolition of the plant began back in April. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
