SEATTLE-Stanford Hotels plans to build a 283-room hotel at 300 Terry Ave. N. next to Amazon.com's headquarters, and currently has a plan under consideration by city officials.

The San Francisco developer would like to begin construction late next year on the 15-story project, according to a report in the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The hotel would include a restaurant and lounge as well as a 7,500-square-foot conference center, but would not include parking, as the city does not require it. The hotel site, in the South Lake Union neighborhood is served by a streetcar stop, and parking would be provided at nearby garages, the Journal article notes.

Stanford has one other Seattle project planned, for a one-third acre surface parking lot at 1903 Fifth Ave.
