MIAMI—Cresa South Florida as one of the best places to work in the region. Cresa landed on the The South Florida Business Journal's “2014 Best Places to Work” list.
“At Cresa, we have a multigenerational workforce—and so do many of our clients,” says Matthew Goodman, a managing principal at Cresa. “When we relocated our Miami offices in 2012, we did it with that multigenerational workforce in mind. We created an environment that facilitates an ideal way of working, responds to their evolving structure and helps fulfill the strategic objectives of our brand.”
The Best Places to Work program highlights companies in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties whose operations are changing the business landscape. Companies and nonprofits with an office in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade with at least 10 full-time employees were eligible for the recognition.
“Our new space is more than just a beautiful workplace. It has proved to have a positive impact on the culture of our entire company,” says John Marshall, a managing principal at Cresa. “The design really blends the needs of all employees into one cohesive space and acts as a tangible example of our collaborative corporate mission. Our open environment has proven to be an appreciated amenity for our staff, fostering interaction between all employees and generations.”
The SFBJ outlined six criteria for “2014 Best Places to Work” nominees: evidence of strong financial performance; workplace environment; outstanding customer service; quality of products and/or services; innovative and effective marketing; and a spirit of community involvement.
“Cresa's founding senior partners mix with the next generation of leadership and with the younger generation who are beginning their careers,” says Barbara Liberatore Black, a managing principal at Cresa. “This is seen as an asset in the organization that has a true color of mentoring. By identifying ways to create a high-performance workplace for our multigenerational office, Cresa is on the path to optimizing productivity, reducing turnover and positioning the organization for sustained and future growth.”
