HOUSTON-The owner and developer of the 1885 St. James Place office project here has selected Jones Lang LaSalle as the project's exclusive leasing agent.
Construction is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2014 on the 135,000-square-foot, LEED Certified office building. Work on the 13-story office building is expected to be completed by early 2015. Nelson Murphree Legacy Partners is the developer of the project.
Jones Lang LaSalle Senior Vice President Chrissy Wilson and Vice President Chris Dekker will lead the marketing efforts on behalf of the building ownership, 1885 St. James Place Partners, L.P. Houston-based Jackson & Ryan and Tellepsen Builders are the project architect and the general contractor respectively.
“1885 St. James Place is located in a dynamic neighborhood with great energy,” states Wilson. “The need for a niche-type jewel of an office building, combined with existing demand within the area, should result in a substantially committed building prior to construction completion.”
The building will have floor plates ranging from 13,476 square feet to 17,963 square feet.
“This is a boutique building that will offer luxury build-outs to tenants looking for an exclusive address,” Dekker adds. “Upper-level floors will feature exterior balconies and decorative masonry that will complement the sophisticated look of the limestone aggregate block window wall.”
