FORT LAUDERDALE-The Lauderdale Beachside Hotel has been sold at auction for $17 million.
Managing members of the buyer Florida Development Group are Zoron Zelenikovski and Krsto Stamatovski, according to public records. Linda Worton Jackson, an attorney with Miami-based Salazar Jackson LLP who represents the buyer, states the new owners are Ukrainian real estate developers who intend to keep the 147-room hotel at 4660 N. Ocean Drive in operation. The firm already owns the Captain's Quarters hotel next door, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
“This sale will significantly help to revitalize the area and serve as a catalyst to make Lauderdale-by-the-Sea a real destination,” Jackson states. “The new owners are planning a major renovation of the hotel.” See story in the South Florida Business Journal.
