ATLANTIC CITY-The South Jersey Transportation Agency approved an enhanced incentive plan on Wednesday to lure additional airlines to Atlantic City International Airport.

The plan calls for the waiver of a number of fees for both  domestic and international air carriers for two years, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

The new plan allows airlines to receive discounts for two years for each new route that provides non-stop service with at least three flights per week. Domestic year-round flights can take advantage of the waiver of landing fees, common use fees, fuel fees and ground landing fees. Rentals on up to 300 square feet of space in the airport will also be waived for two years, and a marketing incentive of up to $60,000 will be provided.

International year-round flights can see the same benefits with up to $120,000 in marketing incentives. See story in the Press of Atlantic City.
