ATLANTA-AMLI Residential has acquired approximately seven acres in Buckhead and plans to build 640 apartments at the site.
A previous owner a few years ago had envisioned building a $2-billion condo development on the property, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Chicago-based AMLI acquired the site at Roxboro and East Paces Ferry roads from Wells Fargo & Co. on Nov. 22 for $22.4 million, according to public records. The property is considered one of the top development sites in Buckland due to its strategic location near Lenox Square and the Lenox Square MARTA station.
