ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-A federal bankruptcy court judge on Monday approved the $23.4-million sale of the troubled Atlantic Club Casino Hotel here.

The plan also calls for the closure of the casino on Jan. 13. Tropicana reached a deal to buy the slot machines and table games, while Caesar's will purchase the more than 800-room hotel, according to the Star Ledger.

With the shutdown of the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel next month, Atlantic City will have 11 casinos in operation. See story in the Star Ledger.
